The Month in Review

I have been so busy the last few months ( in a good way).   I realized that I have had so many celebrations and visitors that I wanted to share what has been going on in my life.  So please enjoy this photo dump:

I am still in awe over my surprise bridal shower weekend, and that all my bridesmaids flew/drove in from all over the country.   After the shower we headed to New Hope a quaint little town not far from my parent's house on the Delaware river for some drinks, dinner, and dancing.

My bridesmaids, minus my MOH ( we missed you Jenn)

Old Sigma Senior Roomies

As it was Easter Sunday, we ended the weekend with a good old fashion Easter Egg Hunt, using the eggs LES, ALV, and I had decorated.  You are never to old to hunt for eggs.

In April, LES and I saw Eric Clapton and The Wallflowers in concert, which was fabulous.

ALV treated DFH and I to a Pens Game ( Sorry for the blurry pic)

The Pens  made it to the next round of the playoffs, which is so exciting!  LET'S GO PENS!

In April our Junior League planned a membership event at our local Paint Monkey.  Here is me posing with my masterpiece.

All the Junior League girls posing with our art.

In May we had some visitors from NJ for the weekend.  I love showing out of towners our neighborhood and city.

We took a trip with our visitors to Arsenal Cider house for some fresh made cider.  The boys got Meade to drink, and thought it was so cool to have a drink from the middle ages haha.

Last weekend, ALV and I saw Tim McGraw in concert, and it was our first outdoor concert of the season! Woo summer is here!  Tim never disappoints!   A local radio station upgraded our tickets, so that was an added win!

Seven. Years.

DFH and I recently celebrated our seven year dating anniversary!  It is crazy to me that it has been that long, we were only 22 when we started dating.  At the same time I can't remember a time when he wasn't in my life.  ( We've been friends since high school)

This anniversary was bitter sweet as it was the last year we would likely celebrate our "dating" anniversary, however it is also exciting that next year we will celebrate our new anniversary and a new beginning in our life as a married couple.

It is kinda a bummer that we have to start our anniversary count back at 0 again haha.

As I have mentioned countless times, DFH loves his craft beer and loves trying new beers.  For our anniversary I made him a homemade card, and some specialty beer ( thanks to some help from DFH's best man).  One of the beers, 21st Amendment Maroon on Hog Island,  was made with oyster shells and was actually pretty tasty.

DFH surprised me with some beautiful flowers and  spoiled me with some lululemon goodies.

On our Anniversary we headed out for a night on the town, and had dinner at Spoon at local restaurant in the East End near Shadyside that we have wanted to try for ages.  If you are local, I highly recommend it.

We ended our night after dinner at a new local bar called, Tender Bar in Lawrenceville, which features 1920's style drinks.

Cheers to seven years of dating!

A NYC Shower and Bachelorette

Wedding Season is officially here and in full swing!  It is making me really excited for my own wedding, which is now in less than five months!!

This past weekend I hosted my friend Sarah's bridal shower and bachelorette party along with the other bridesmaids.  Sarah is one of my good friends from college, we lived together for three years and we studied abroad in London together, she is also one of my bridesmaids, so I was really excited to throw her an amazing shower and then celebrate her all weekend.

We held the shower at Jane in NYC.  They had the perfect private room for our event.

Sarah loves Audrey Hepburn, so that was the theme.  The colors were black and white with hints of red.

We decorated the room with flowers and pearls and pictures of Audrey and Sarah and her Fiance.

I was in charge of the favors,  along with Sarah's sister.  Since the theme was Audrey Hepburn, we wanted something glamorous, and decided on Essie nail polishes.  We chose Happily Ever After as the color, which we thought was fitting for the occasion.

The Bride-To-Be waiting to open her gifts.

Myself and the bride

All the bridesmaids.

After the shower we had appointments to get pampered before the big night out.  We headed to Dream Dry for some blow outs and champagne.

Unfortunately, it was so humid out that my fabulous blow out and curls fell before we even made it to the hotel :(

After our blow outs and mani/pedis we headed to the hotel to get ready for the big bachelorette night.

Sarah's MOH did a fabulous job planning the evening and I love that we had a speciality drink of the night.

The Bachelorette in her white and flair!

Elon girls before we headed to the club for some dancing.

All the girls at our table at Catch Roof.

And of course I couldn't I couldn't leave NYC without a quick stop in my favorite shop C. Wonder to pick up some goodies!
