This week I am linking up for Saw It. Pinned. It. Did It.
My craft group and I are always scouring Pinterest looking for new crafts to make for our next craft group meeting. I came across This gold thumb tack wreath on Pinterest and loved the pattern and texture from the thumb tacks.
It ended up being a pretty mindless craft, perfect for our craft group as we usually end up spending more time eating and gossiping then actually crafting. However, it was time consuming covering the foam wreath with thumb tacks.
1. 1 foam wreath
2. Thumb Tacks ( A lot of them) I think I honestly used about 2,000- 3,000 tacks. I would recommend using the tacks from the Dollar Tree to save some money.
3. Ribbon of your choice
There is really no right or wrong way to do this, begin by placing the thumb tacks into the wreath, until the entire foam wreath is covered, you can go back and fill in any open spots.
The scale pattern still came out, regardless of how I placed the pins as long as the pins were slightly overlapping each other.
The Final Product: Ready for Valentine's Day!
Happy Valentine's Day!
